Wake up and pull up Sun Ra, 44 years ago on this date in history. It takes a good 10 minutes to realize that's not some bizarre percussion instrument but honest to gawd CD skipping. Currently listening to the most amazing extended reissue of Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs And Englishment which is basically several complete shows that comprised the original double album. Now I don't pay attention to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and it holds no validation over my musical tastes, I do not enter into the discussion at all except I am fond of saying we are about 20 years removed from the building getting paved over into a parking lot.   Of course the CTF and National Association Of Ticket Brokers is going to take a conciliatory approach.
