(D)ANTHRAX 2008 - RECLAIMING HISTORY (the Dan Nelson era) Apparently the Anthrax 40 series completely ignored the Dan Nelson era and the band's attempt to move forward without twice-fired Joey Belladonna, once fired John Bush and the failure to lure in Slipknot's Corey Taylor. This came to abrupt end and Dan Nelson even sued the band, yet none of the official history acknowledges him whatsoever. I've heard a few rumors of why the band finally did what seemed intolerable and beg two of their previous singers back into the fold and finally became what the fans of almost every band want - a nostalgia act, but let's just enjoy the not quite forgotten era with uploads of 2 DANTHRAX shows. The first is a warmup club gig and the second is opening for Iron Maiden. Anthrax 40 can be found on YouTube and perhaps the payperview webstream can be found somewhere, as well. from the good old days of Pershing Square when the city would book acts appropriate for a small community park instead of making fans scramble for limited tickets for more popular bands who should be playing regular concert venues. From about 2016-2019 it was very exclusionary for what should be an inclusive space for everyone as it's funded by their tax dollars. Thankful I don't live within the city limits, the city government is every bit as awful (and more) as you may have heard. This is a band that has not aged well! However the 40th anniversary stream had me revisiting some of the catalog and I still love the Sound Of White Noise album and tour. This is the first show of the Anthrax/White Zombie/Quicksand portion of the tour and is about 10 mins longer than the standard show. Quality leaves a bit to be desired tho. Also a bad standalone dub with a bit of unassociated footage at the end. I could have swore I saw Tijuana and/or Troubadour May 1993 from the club leg on a massive for sale list I no longer have. Does anyone have those shows? I was at the Troubadour show!
