I was kinda assuming this would follow the same pattern as the previous two gigs with prices in freefall, but early afternoon the opposite happened with prices going up and by 7pm there was nothing under 150$ on the secondary. I should have bought on Friday! But I found a street scalper (who I usually ignore) who hooked me up with an upper deck for $80. Was able to get relocated downstairs. During Miley the sound was great but the screen and scaffolding would have blocked the side musicians and drummer for Green Day. So in between all this scrambling around, and finding some stealth spots to take a hit I really should have checked the mic connection and taped it down as there are some occasional annoying mic artifacts I can't always fix.
That said, Saturday was the best night of the 3. Green Day's team was able to adapt their production to the fixed staging and production a lot better to make it look like the Green Day show instead of Halsey on the Bud Light Super Bowl stage. And I hate fake encores but love spontaneous ones so that made it unique and fun knowing they were going totally off script and playing some extra songs because they wanted to even though the crowd was spent and mostly emptied out. If the show was like 3 mins earlier I would have made a runner at the end of Good Riddance to catch the bus and screwed that up too.
All these shows started and ran late. This one ended at 12:26. Glad it's not a regular thing and would have hated it at the Forum but also hate it when a good opener or co-headliner takes the stage to an empty building while the fans are still stuck in traffic.
