The band was represented by Sharon Osbourne briefly and put on tour with Ozzy as Motley Crue had clearly outgrown opening status. Jim Lea was diagnosed with Hepatitis C and they went home.
Other than an impromptu Johnny B Goode at a fan convention in 1991, they never performed together again with Noddy eventually retiring from music completely.
Now when I read all this somewhere ... it occurred to me ... I have this tape in storage and there appears to be no record of it circulating. So did a storage dive, transferred the tape and put it up.
No idea on the gen but at least 2nd. Got it from an old school tape trader I traded 4 cassettes at a time with who had a lot of interesting shows and had photocopied hand written list that were organized by geographic area. He was in NJ so he had his NY + NJ + Philadelphia lists and other cities lists. Got a lot of 1980's Ramones from him.
The tape was labeled March 30th but it was definitely March 28 as Yes played the Cow Palace on March 30th. The contents are definitely a real show opening for Ozzy in San Francisco… You can tell the crowd is getting really irritated. They don’t play the Quiet Riot songs.
