Thin Lizzy @ Toledo, OH 1977-01-30

Thin Lizzy
Toledo, OH, USA
Toledo Sports Arena
January 30, 1977

Previously uncirculated, this is a reasonably good-sounding tape of Thin Lizzy opening for Queen in 1977. Apart from a couple tiny cuts (the first one being for a tape flip around 45 minutes in) the recording is complete.

Taper's notes:

A dream come true for a 15 year old rock fan in 1977.
Phil Lynott & Thin Lizzy with Gary Moore on lead guitar opening for Queen in a jam packed Toledo Sports Arena. Me and my friends earned money for tickets ($7!) by shoveling snow for neighbors and I smuggled a small cassette recorder in.
Smoking was allowed and when the house lights were up, the smoke was so thick that you couldn't see half way across the arena. It was literally impossible to attend a concert at the Sports Arena back then without catching a contact buzz weather you wanted to or not.
But the real buzz came from the music - unbelievable.
