Total Time ::: 60:24

::: Extremely fine, wide stereo AUD. Check samples for discouragement or encouragement prognostication.
::: Warts: Some clapping in #03,05,09. Taper shut off deck betwixt songs. Occasional mike turning slightly changes stereo image, esp. in #06, but mostly repaired. Fixed many dropouts & dullspots, but surely missed a few. #09 cuts.
::: COMPARISON CLAUSE: The original 2015 "Mk1"/"DimeTravel British Blues BOOM! Series #33" upload had less repairs & no EQ.
::: $4 advance $4.50 at gate. 2nd nite of "The British Are Coming" 2 month tour Fleetwood Mac/Long John Baldry/Savoy Brown.
::: Touring to promote the new "Hellbound Train" album, released in the week prior to this show.
::: Concert ad at http://stanforddailyarchive.com/cgi-bin/stanford?a=d&d=stanford19720218-01.2.22.1
::: This is, of course, the lineup after the Foghat guys left & most of Chicken Shack joined the band.
::: #06&09 NOT same as "Jack The Toad Live: '70-72"or "Live 1969/1972" CDs (both Edmonton,Canada 1972-03-xx).
::: Not known if the taper recorded Fleetwood Mac and/or Long John Baldry sets.

Recording Information ::: unknown stereo tape recorder & microphones -> master audience reel-to-reel(?) stereo tape -> 1st generation Maxell XLII-90 cassette, Dolby B on.

Playback 2015-04-19 :::  1st generation Maxell XLII-90 cassette on Nakamichi 680ZX cassette deck, Dolby B on, azimuth adjusted for individual tape, heads cleaned & demagnetized -> Sony Linear PCM Recorder PCM-M10 (LPCM 44.10kHz/16bit WAV files) -> computer -> Audacity [normalisation to remove DC offset, channel/phase alignment, fades, manual one-at-a-time glitch, bump, pop, click, dropout & dullspot repairs, volume adjustments, NO equalisation] -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. First uploaded week of 2015-05-30.

Revamp remastering 2019-11-xx ::: normalisation to remove DC offset, better channel/phase alignment, additional dropout/dullspot repairs, some more claps minimised, slight differential EQ applied for minor improvement. Given out 2019-11-xx.

Line-up ::: Savoy Brown #9 (April 1971 - June 1972) ::: Kim Simmonds - electric guitar, vocals // Dave Walker - vocals // Paul Martin Raymond (RIP 2019) - electric guitar, keyboards // Andy Sylvester - electric bass // Dave Bidwell - drums.

DimeTravel 520 ::: Thanks to the original taper & trader! ::: Corrections welcome ::: What a f*cking GREAT band - stellar & incredibly powerful set with Walker in his element. Guitar playing is REALLY cool & laid back & then when it comes in, it has a sting & command that rules the show. The new material is first class. In some respects I like the "Hellbound Train" better than the album version. Of course, it's too bad the show isn't twice as long, but be glad we got it. And yes, what I wouldn't give to hear the Mac set in this quality, but it ain't happening from this corner. Great respect for Savoy Brown, amazing how the albums held up in light of all their bandmember changes - right thru "Lion's Share" for me. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
