Quick Update
This time I can't say for sure when I will be back. Maybe next Friday, maybe sooner if I have anything compelling to share, maybe a bit longer since I won't be home much between now and then. I know it was slim this week and for a more selective audience. I appreciate everyone visiting and as of now no plans to abandon the blog as I have recorded a few hundred sets this year at least, so please keep checking. If you are looking to see if the repost requests I don't even look at have been posted you might want to try an an open forum such as Guitars 101 or the various Facebook groups as I am just not going to be here much this summer to even post the stuff I want for the first time.
You're a good and dedicated music fan. You can't let the pressure of posting bring you down and lower your initiative for posting. Enjoy the world. We will be here rooting for you and sending positive vibes. You, my digital friend, have inspired me to start my own blog. I will check in weekly for your stories and posts. Do what you need to do, and come back when you're ready. God bless you, my friend.
ReplyDeleteyou've shared so much over past year it will take forever for me to give it all a proper listen. you deserve whatever break you choose from your monumental efforts of late. i can't thank you enough for so many great, uncirculated shows of bands i love.
ReplyDeleteenjoy life away from the screeen and speakers/phones.

ReplyDeleteu need to call guiness book. you set the record for shows attended.
ReplyDeleteThanks, MikeL :) I saw people buying expensive bootlegs at a record show and I couldn't believe it. I told one guy to go online and he didn't understand how to download the shows. So I'm posting everything on my blog and on G101. See you there!
ReplyDeleteThat's why i don't post anything online because of bootleggers that are greedier than ever and don't participate in the "heavy lifting" required to record shows or find tapes in people's attics or basements before they get thrown away.
DeleteTheir sole motivation is to profit from our work and the same individuals probably don't even listen to music.
I only share via wetransfer to private individuals.
Bootleggers are almost irrelevant to me now - I know people who buy them, but for the artwork or because they have some form of severe OCD that sees them throwing money at anything with their favorite logo stamped on it. Not really my concern to withhold things over how people express their mental illness.
DeleteIt really only bothered me when I was practically starving myself to be able to record shows way back when only to have other people grab them to make money off of. Not much of a problem now.
