I couldn't figure out if I wanted to track the Bill Murray / Eric Clapton into it's own separate folder or that of the first scheduled main stage act so I ended up just putting it all together but there were minimal breaks as there were 2 stages going. This is more of a formality for the Eric Clapton completists and to get the raw files off my HD as the show was webcast and there are even Blu Ray versions "out there."
Also until I opened the files, other than Santana and Eric Clapton I would have had to refer to the notes to tell you who I saw.
Seriously, it's all a blur. Once inside, after the thrill of the cheap ticket mixed with the boredom of being in such poor location hearing hours of continuous music with muddy sound and visuals by undynamic if extremely talented and iconic performers, I got bored pretty quick and lit up even though my constitution is such that I have only have about 2 hours of coherence after the first toke. So I still have little remembrance of what happened in the arena.
Went down ticketless when I noticed extreme bargains were to be had both nights. Was happy capturing the acts from just outside the fence but soccer chanting from a restaurant behind me forced me to buy a ticket ($12.39) so I went in. The seat for the main event in the arena was 300 level far side, I wish I could have held out longer for a better seat but at some point ushers upgraded me to 100 level beside stage. Once I sat down in that plush seat, it was a bit too relaxing and I actually think I slept thru most of Clapton.
Enjoy!
Thanks!
