Latest Rambling "Back Next Friday" post

I don't know if I am burned out and taking a semi-break or doing a fade but we will see, as it is I will be doing the minimum to keep you engaged with new releases coming every Friday if available. So I don't have to try to rebuild if I come roaring back. Or more immediate if I just want to put up a raw file or have something to say about something. Unfortunately there was very little for you this week but there are a few that are 75% done so maybe next Friday there will be a bit more?

I used to go nuts when a semi-decent Cheap Trick audience recording turned up yet I can't stay caught up on Bun E's weekly soundboard releases. Listening to Nagoya 79 now. Maybe just demoting myself to passive listener?

Actually been mostly watching YouTube videos and lectures. I really wish I had the motivation to become a content creator instead of content leecher. Much respect to those who can make a go of that.

Beyond burned out on shows too. Forced myself out for Boris and Starcrawler because secondary tickets were so cheap. Like $7 cheap. Boris went on 15 mins past the scheduled start time of 9:30 but I still had to leave on time wrecking the last song. My back was killing me and I couldn't just stand at the benchless bus stop for another hour after that. No place to sit and get a quick snack downtown. If that's how it's going to be, better off not going at all. If anyone can find the last song on YouTube and do a decent patch job, go for it because otherwise it sounded great where I was. Can get into Paul Weller tonight almost free, though the venue has chairs, set ends same time bus leaves a block over. He plays 135 mins which is just too much for me.

Also as noted in a previous post the public transportation situation and potential for violence only grows more harrowing. Is it really worth risking my life to see Sammy Hagar? I am actually supportive of an individual right to keep and especially bear arms but you can't take them on a bus to a concert. Not even in Texas.

Anwyay the calendar is never more stacked than it is late Sept / early October and secondary market bargains are ubiquitous even days / weeks ahead.

Really wanted to go to Europe before the election but haven't even been able to get into the presense of mind to just sit down and plan it. Definitely too late to hit the Demolition 23 shows in Helsinki next week.

If you are adding to the now 222 repost requests but aren't reading these entries, that's not my problem. Try Guitars101, The Traders Den, alt.music.bootlegs, TapeTrader.com or take out an ad in Goldmine.

  1. Hey! I wanna say thanks, your encouragement worked - if you remember our conversation a couple of weeks back. I just finished building my own bootleg site dedicated to Aerosmith (and related) concerts. It took some work, but now it's up and running:

    www.livebootlegs.com

The domain name sounds pretty cool. I've only just started adding concerts, so there's not much to see as of yet. But I did put up a Request page, I hope I don't live to regret it :)

With TTD closing down, LL's fewer and fewer seeders and ZOMB not hosting that many shows, there really is a need for more bootleg fan sites.
