Celebrating David Bowie Wednesday January 25, 2017 The Wiltern Theatre Los Angeles, CA Source: Mike Garson’s Webstream plus audio from 2 yotube videos. Lineage: Audio Hijack Pro > aiff files > sounds studio > track splits > xACT 2.38 > flac level5 The ‘plus’ in the title is simply because Sting had a blackout for his portions so they weren’t broadcast, hence the audio from 2 youtube videos for that part of the show. You have to respect an artist like Sting for choosing to control these small portions of their catalog of performances while such things are still possible, even if you disagree. So: recorded this on the night of the broadcast, had to patch a few gaps with the 360p file put up on YouTube, but they were all very small. This was captured as an audio only 16/44 aiff file but was likely not broadcast at that deep a bit rate. The biggest problem with it is that its not a board mix but what sounds like a single stereo audience-placed capture. Stealth can often tape...

TOM PETTY WHISKEY, LA JANUARY 21, 1980 As promised, here is another of my Petty shows. This has a great setlist and, as far as I can tell, never been seen anywhere before. This is the master tape that I got from the person who claimed to have taped it. I can't confirm that, but I see no reason why she would lie. Anyway, the sound on 3/4's of this is really, really good and then on the encores it drops off a bit. Judge for yourself. If you missed my first Petty upload from the Palladium, it's still running on the tracker. This show has Petty and the band pulling out all the stops. It would be the last time that they play a small club, with Refugee taking off and the band moving on to bigger venues. 24 songs on this setlist with more than a few gems making a return to the Heartbreakers repitoire. Please leave a comment about the sound, if you can. These old shows play a lot better on a stereo, rather than a computer. Thanks again to Scott S. for the transfer and to Hitwitstuf...

Once again, just assumed there would be a soundboard or at least something made on a rig that cost the equivalent of a 4 star European vacation on anything GD related since 1969 but turns out this might be something new. I guess that's what it means if I can't find a setlist anywhere.

LIONS & GHOSTS MONTCLAIR, CA @ THE GREEN DOOR 1989-09-01 Borrowed Cassette Master -> CDRW700 -> EAC -> Soundforge -> FLAC (no setlist)   https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1wM05bPkl8k4QmhfrkyBfpEAdSc_ju2T6?usp=sharing Years ago my roommate had a box of BAM magazines and there was a cover with this band on it (and in smaller insert windows Concrete Blonde and Faith No More) suggesting these 3 bands were going to be huge. It was my first time ever hearing of them. There are Lions & Ghosts tapes in the 18 boxes dropped off Friday. This is a 90 min set (assuming they didn't keep playing after the tape ran out) so plenty of material to get an idea.
