I love real Mongolian music and often play random videos off YouTube. This kinda goes back to being fascinated with the whole subject after seeing the Marco Polo miniseries as a kid. Also watched every doc on YouTube and read Jack Weatherford's "Genghis Khan And The Making Of The Modern World" as well as some of the sequels. That said I had no idea this band existed until I was clued in to this gig a few days prior. I think this was supposed to be a rest night (sandwiched between The Who and as usual just a total raging Rocktober). It was sold out too. Ended up going down ticketless. Now LA has a Mongolian community of a few thousand and seemed like most of them were in line here. Ended up paying $40 to someone who could barely speak English but wouldn't be talked down.

I must say merging Mongolian music with metal is a lot more ingenious than the more gimmicky mariachi bands and whatever else we have here. Good enough to go back again. This is one of two shows but the best sounding.

Would love to go to Mongolia and capture some music but not sure if that's within my comfort zone.

And if you enjoy Mongolian music without the metal this is hands down the best video I have found on YouTube, perhaps any genre.

Last Call / Brief Intermission

I am completely out of storage options unless I wanna resurrect my FileFactory account, and that would just be rude, so I am going to have to start emptying out the Mega + Google accounts, at least until I can use WeTransfer again. So get it now because once they are gone, they are not coming back. But I don't have many new transfers, Jan is always a dead month for anniversaries and I wanna finish my book which often involves stopping and playing the songs mentioned within for the full immersive experience. So when I finish the book I will empty out the Mega account and post some more shows. Probably not going to reach the level of intensity of the last year or so however which is why I am not spending / taking donations etc. Decided to pump the money into hard drive and better storage options for my physical media.  In the meantime I was been trying for a few years to get audio resynced to a Jessica Von Rabbit video and the same person filmed Mudhoney from against the stage but
