Iggy Pop & The Losers 2023-04-24 & 2023-04-27
I have a draft of a long convoluted farewell message but that's on hold for now.
No idea when I can finish these Iggy shows so I am going to put these up here as I had already sent these around a week ago so putting them up here now.
Hollywood Palladium could have been better but it was date night with someone who is 5 foot zero. I got to see Iggy twice from where I wanted so she could see him once from where she wanted.
These include the complete Punkie Johnson opening set and maybe I have no sense of humor but it was pretty bad the first night and just ... odd the 2nd night. Which she did topless.
Just my fucking luck I would meet an eviction attorney at this show (a hint at the crisis I am facing which might not only suspend activity but derail it forever)

ReplyDeleteI'm very sorry to hear that you're facing difficulties; I have appreciated the live recordings you've shared for well over a decade (back when I was on Dimeadozen, that was a long time ago!), and really only recently started hitting up your blog. I'll second the Flesheaters and Leaving Trains, and raise the Lazy Cowgirls, Humpers, and Clawhammer as bands I've been really thrilled to see here; I saw all 3 nearly every time they were in the Bay Area for a few years back when. I hope that things work out for you as best as they can.

Misloaded DATs, shredded mic cables, asshole security guards, travel, jetlag, expenses, etc. You have put a smile on my face many times. Best of luck to you, sir.

I've downloaded hundreds of recordings from your blog and truly appreciate what you do. It's okay, we all cope with the pain of loss in our own ways and ambiguous loss is the worst form of loss to face. I am okay, just have a lot to deal with right now.
