This is the 57th upload of my concerts collection recorded in Lyon (France) between 1982-1990.
All my concerts were recording for Radio-Bellevue and Zap FM, so we have had some technical easynesses to record these shows.
Johnny Thunders & his band were recorded for Radio Bellevue at the West Side Club (Lyon) inside the famous Palais d'Hiver.
It was a pre FM recording for Radio-Bellevue (Lyon).
I was using a very basic system for recording: soundboard outputs + a couple of ambiance mikes (Sennheiser) standing in front of the scene mixed on 4-tracks desk to a Sony TDC5M with headphones on-the-fly live in the club (15m from the center of the stage).
It was the second show of Johnny Thunders in two days. The first one was so horrible...In fact, during the soundcheck, the first day, backstages were like a "local meeting of dope dealers" and as effects, Johnny Thunders came on stage completely stoned, guitar inside out, he tried to say something and falled down collapsed....oh oh....Concert cancelled of course...see you tomorrow...
This is the recording of the 2nd show here. Johnny Thunders was obviously in better form but not the sound mix, too much guitar and Johnny Thunders voice overloaded.....I apologize for that.
