The BellRays were supporting the Jim Jones Revue (not taped), Lewis Floyd Henry was the other (very entertaining) support. King Tut's was sold out tonight and the packed crowd quickly warmed to The Bellrays.

The BellRays are one of the greatest live rock'n'roll bands ever. A full throttle rock'n'roll band with a glorious soul singer, who make you want to jump up and down and smile a lot. Life affirming stuff. The guys played a great, if short and energetic set, with plenty of material from the excellent Black Lightning album interspersed with a couple of older songs.

Big thanks to the band for making it to Glasgow, to Bob giving me the ok to record the show, and to Bob and Lisa for stopping by the merch desk to chat - really cool people.

Recording notes and sound quality:

I only had to reduce the mid bass a little and amplify by +3db. Nice sounding recording.

Band Of The Month: OASIS **FINAL 2024-10-10 with Round 10**

Seems like the tour excitement is catching on and a few fans have found this page. I don't have anything specifically rare but might as well put it all up. Don't really wanna clear out any of the Google drives so it has to be Pixeldrain. There is a 5GB daily download limit but I probably only have a few days worth. This collection is by no means comprehensive. Share widely if you wish. To be honest going forward - I don't like posting anything I haven't listened to. I lost track and can't really dedicate my life to Oasis right now so it's up to you to point out any flaws, most importantly CD skips from bad rips or too much diginoise - 2 things that make me trash a recording. back on Friday

Lots of crashing ticket prices but unfortunately I didn't feel like spending 6 hours on the bus to Inglewood and back so I have been taking it easy this week. And finishing transfers. Same old drill, I will write up the info files Friday morning and post, possibly deleting stuff to make room so if you have been dawdling on anything, grab it now because once it's gone, that's it. None of the stuff I was threatening to do in lieu of staying home and working on tapes ever materialized. Too hot, too complacent, THC burnout, etc.  + + + And again. Since I spent $229.60 on a concert ticket last night I will probably skip Herbie tonight and a bunch of other stuff I had on the calendar but it was so worth it. More time to work on transfers and get stuff up and out though.  Same old thing, if I have any new transfers, I will write up the info and post on Friday. Back On Friday

 I guess this means I will be back on Friday with any new transfers I might have done. Which ain't much.   * * * *    I will be back next Friday with at least the uncompleted projects I was trying to get up the other day. I didn't go to a single show in the last week period. I have a bunch on my calendar but other than the Prima Donna show I bought a ticket for, who knows what I will end up hitting. I just got a text from the dearly neglected saying "we should go see Billie Eilish" but I think she was one and done for me at least until she hits the corndog circuit. I might take her down there, find her a ticket and turn her loose inside like I did for the Foo Fighters Santa Barbara show but not spending "real money" on my ticket. I also notice stuff on the blog disappearing beneath the fold - when you click "more posts" at the bottom of the first page, it cuts out a huge chunk of content. Like 6-10 entries.
