Friday Update

 

Listening to a nice selection of anniversary offerings but who know how much I will get to before the working day is done. And in case the previous hints aren't strong enough I might be over it.

I worked 100 hours plus and still less than half done with the first episode. I was hoping to have at least one transfer ready but it's just not gonna happen. It was Powerman 5000 so maybe you aren't missing out on much.

My friend gave me a Blue Yeti mic. It works with windows voice recorder but I still have to figure out to get Soundforge to recognize it and capture the recording but hope to troubleshoot this weekend. So I am going into the A-10, so I have to keep unplugging the mic, importing the file into the computer and maybe re-recording which is very redundant and time consuming. I still don't even know if this a demo or the final take.

Also wish I had someone with writing and possibly experience here with me to help me tighten up some dialog and also go thru a 5 page source document so I can improve what I have. Can't even do it remotely since I don't have a scanner or decent camera at the ready. I know I can do it, I am just under a self imposed deadline.

Been interested in podcasting forever but not sure what subjects to cover and overwhelmed by the big picture. But the best way to proceed now is to jump in and learn as I go.

Was thinking of going to see Phish tonight and roll that into the project but based on a few brief interactions I decided their fans are just so insufferable it probably isn't worth the effort though any output would not be targeted to them and probably wouldn't want them tuning in either way. What do you think?
