The Who announced their farewell tour in 1982 while I was going to school in South-Eastern Washington State. My girlfriend at the time was a huge Roger Daltrey fan and several of us made the trip across state to see them at the Kingdome. T-bone Burnett opened and he was terrible, but the Clash were next up and they were great; but we weren't necessarily there to see them. A lot of the fans were there for the Clash and left when they were done, so we got to move up closer for The Who - what a great show! Fortunately, bootleg soundboard CD and DVD was released, so I have that memory locked down. I only wish Santana could have been there as well. Thanks for this great boot!
ReplyDeletethanks Dan, I was there...43 years, 2 days back :^0
ReplyDeletetime doth fly!
