Hot Tuna's Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady, reunited with Grace Slick and Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane, at The Fillmore in San Francisco on 3/04/1988.

Paul Kantner opens this show with an interesting observation: "Ah, the late show here. It used to be the young kids would always come to the early show to get home in time for curfew, and the old folks would stay for the late show. Now all the old folks come to the early show and the young kids stay late..." The year was 1988, and for the San Francisco music scene, it seemed everything that goes around, comes around again.

This was the first time these Jefferson Airplane band members played together since their final gigs at Winterland in late 1972 (as found on "Thirty Seconds Over Winterland", released in 1973).

There is a strong likelihood that this concert that brought Paul Kantner and Grace Slick back on the stage together helped facilitate the Jefferson Airplane reunion tour and album in 1989 (with Mary Balin added).

This concert was broadcast by KFOG 104.5 FM in San Francisco and San Jose..
