Coachella + The Bolshoi Brothers Formerly The Bolshoi + Theatre Of Hate + Some Days Are Darker Than Others

Hard to believe the economy is in the least bit of distress with people throwing scammers thousands of dollars over and over again trying to get in to see Justin Bieber play YouTube videos off a laptop when you can see him do the exact same thing at home for free. I mean the livestream of Justin Bieber playing YouTube videos off a laptop not just the videos.

To the best of my knowledge I still have not heard a single Justin Bieber song but considering he broke Coachella resale, I should at least check him out.

If those are the lengths people will go to, he's gotta be good, right? 

I wanted to watch it live but I got tossed free tickets to see Formerly The Bolshoi and Theatre Of Hate play to a hundred people at the Regent and who knows how many of them paid. Someone who was allegedly Billy Duffy of The Cult joined Theatre Of Hate and told the hundred people in the room that holds a thousand they are the best band ever. 

I right stacked it like I usually do but for Formely The Bolshoi it sounded like bass was coming out the right and drums out the left unless that was just slapback from all the exposed concrete on the floor. And my hearing is really unbalanced too so I don't always get an accurate assessment of what's going on. Didn't occur me to center off but also then I might have only been 5 or 10 feet away from someone else.

When maybe the 50 remaining people left at the end there was someone outside selling bootleg T shirts wondering if the show was over why isn't anyone coming out. I should have asked her what Goodwill she is dropping them off at. She looked Honduran and likely never heard of Formerly The Bolshoi. Smart move. ICE would never think to look outside a Formerly The Bolshoi show. 

Was going to try to catch some more today but Chris D's Poison Fang is playing a matinee at Zebulon and then if it doesn't rain I wanna go see if I can panhandle a Masayoshi Takanaka ticket where the remaining 5 resale tickets are in the stratosphere even though if it rains I stand a better chance better chance but even though I am mentally 14 I am in my 50's and don't wanna get pneumonia. Or a broken hip because the morons he is attracting are  actually crowdsurfing and moshing to that. I gotta remind myself that just because I look and feel young except for all the aches and pains and lumps in places there shouldn't be lumps I am almost at the age my grandma was when she broke her hip rolling skating. I have $60 cash but it's more the challenge than actually seeing the show and of course I would offer it. Actually google translated looking for a miracle into 奇跡を求めてbut there are a lot more squiggles than I anticipated and I don't have printer.

I only watched 1 Coachella set so far. After joining in the Moby pile on a few weeks ago he redeemed himself enough Friday to at least make myself wanna see a headline show. Usually catch him once a decade and last time I saw him was at the Echo in 2018 so guess it's about time again. He's just another example of why I have no interest in meeting or talking to anyone. Pull him slightly outside of his silo and he's like when you send your socially promoted idiot kid off to community college and they get politicized for the first time.
