** 16 BIT **
Source: Tascam DR-2d with internal mics @ 16 bit/44.1 kHz (low cut filter set to 80 Hz)
Mastering: .WAV > Sound Forge Pro 11.0 (Build 299) [iZotope Mastering Suite (declick); minor edits, normalize, & fades] > CDWav tracking) > Trader's Little Helper (level 5) > FLAC > TagScanner 6.0.18 (tagging)
Location: 30 or so feet from the stage, in front of Mikey. I shifted 10-15 feet closer to the center of the floor to get away from screamers and talkers during the course of the show.

Show Notes:
Finally, a bucket list show for the whackadoodle Alaskan. I have wanted to catch one of these gigs for many many years.
First and foremost, this show is an annual benefit by Mike McCready (Pearl Jam) to find a cure for Crohn's Disease/Colitis, and the monies raised go toward both that and the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation - Northwest Chapter Camp Oasis For Kids and the Jennifer Jaff CareLine at Patient Advocate Foundation. This was the 15th Annual, spread over 2 nights.
Second, people did pitch in; a photo taken by Mike Savoia of last year's event and autographed by the band went for a cool $2000 (auction style, 1000 people, most of them drinking...which made for fun "are you waving, or are you bidding" banter). Between tickets and swag, I spent well over $200 [signed posters, limited edition (500) 45's, and a pretty cool t-shirt, there were raffle tickets, the really nifty silkscreen poster was $25; if you doubled that, the band would sign the poster for you. a very simple, smooth process (you'd sign in on a sheet before a certain time, pay, then get the poster on your way out].
Third, the show is a tribute to the band UFO...every year! I'm guessing that's why the encore had a theme (Thin Lizzy), an encore song played previous years (AC/DC), then a sincere, note-perfect (haha) version of Led Zeppelin's "Thank You" to close the proceedings (just short of 110 minutes).
Fourth, this event also showcases Mikey's guitar prowess, with a bunch of his friends. There really are no words other than your earholes need this for food and sustenance.
If the solo during "Lights Out" doesn't win you over, I dunno what will...(I've played it five times in a row, and keep hearing "new" things)...or the wild, flourishing geetar-textures (sic) during "Rock Bottom", or the fat-as-fuck underlying rhythm riff during "Love To Love", or...
Fifth, Thunderpussy opened. For that, there is also no words. But there is a recording. with McCready sitting in for 2 songs. Stay tuned for that. ;)
If you like stellar lead guitar work, and a "party-jam" atmosphere, you will like this show.
'Nuff said.
He ain't no Doctor (Doctor), nor is he a too-hot-to-handle loser, but he is an uploading machine. Give Dennis some thanks for the ***ultra quick*** turnaround on this gem. As it needs to be heard. (I've never seen a FTM show up on dime, or anywhere else for that matter...is there any out there?)
The vault is temporarily closed. The produce stand just got in a new shipment. Check it out...especially the evil peaches.
