This was a weird one. He was ascendant when I first saw him at Moroccan Lounge with gradually bigger places each time. Now he's adopted a northern soul sound and seemed to draw a Moroccan Lounge size crowd in his othewise biggest venue yet. 

The day before I went to get my 2nd dose of the shingles vaccine. They said you need Flu and Covid booster. I said "will this ruin my weekend?" Nope you'll be find. Never had issues with vaccines before so I took them all. 

The night before on the way home I feel a little off, then start to get the chills. Get off the bus and get hit so hard with shivers so intense my body tenses up like I have rigor mortis and can barely walk the rest of the way home. This show I just wanted to go back to the venue, enjoy the lovely view of downtown from the patio while I smoke a joint. In spite of the lingering effects, I still do just that. And for Yellow Days I was able to find a seat and go right to sleep for most of the whole set.

My Want List

it's been awhile, write to ijwthstd AT yahoo DOT com if you can help     **ETERNAL WANT LIST**  (Nothing added since Dec 25 post, just bumping to the top for new users) In this total media universe with everything at my fingertips, individual shows have taken on a lot less importance, however I still want to get my eyes and ears on these. This was copied off a much older list where I deleted several found titles so it's not impossible I'd say I have plenty to trade but I stopped withholding stuff for those purposes years ago. I can always offer up the super secret Mystery Drive list of my friend's rare masters (1971 to 2017) and pull something from there. Really one of the only things I am hoarding is that list only to preserve my sanity. Remember your hoarded recordings are only worth something while there are still people alive who care.
