In this series we concentrate on audience recordings, leaving out the rehearsals, and of course the official recordings. KBFH-recordings will only be used for merges or matrix recordings.

19th July 1978: Houston, Texas, Sam Houston Coliseum
A soundboard recording was made by Bob Clearmountain (11 tracks appeared in the KBFH
broadcast).

Several years ago I uploaded a compilation for this Houston show titled "Working On Houston Puzzle": [iorr.org]
More recently new versions surfaced like « Houston Texas, 1978 » and overall « Handsome Girls Houston 1978 » (DAC 172) which use the same audience recording I used in my version.
Here I offer a reworked version of the DAC 172 release merged with the previous versions (audience or KBFH): they’re from the same sources so the reworking seems subtle. Here the best quality (KBFH source) is alongside the worst (the audience recording).
For the merges of the last 3 tracks I used the DAC 068 version which is slightly different from the DAC 172.
As usual the recordings used are de-clicked and the phase is adjusted.
