THE BUENAVENTURA LIMITED SERIES, VOL. 26
With much gratitude to the generosity of buenaventura, we continue to bring you this limited series with more wonderful material to counterbalance the so far terrible '20s.
This limited series is being so coined because there isn't a deluge of tapes coming through for this right now, and the scope of it is still undetermined, but that could potentially change at any moment. There seems to be enough on tap at present to keep all following the series with enough new sounds to take in for at least the next few weeks.
Onwards we go with more shoegazing, this time with Catherine Wheel and once again back at Luxor, here opening for House of Love.
It seems to be a condition of the master tape itself, and possibly less than an optimal taping position at the show, but this one very regrettably is not on par with the quality of some of the other buenaventura recordings. There are worse-sounding tapes out there, but if you've gotten accustomed to some of the better recordings in the series, this one runs slightly average.
The performance is great, although short because of the opening slot. To further disappointment, the last song here got cut, because it was the final song of the set, and the tape wasn't flipped. We can count our blessings that they didn't end on "Black Metallic" and that was captured here in full majestic glory.
Enjoy,
elegymart
