Last Call / Brief Intermission

I am completely out of storage options unless I wanna resurrect my FileFactory account, and that would just be rude, so I am going to have to start emptying out the Mega + Google accounts, at least until I can use WeTransfer again. So get it now because once they are gone, they are not coming back. But I don't have many new transfers, Jan is always a dead month for anniversaries and I wanna finish my book which often involves stopping and playing the songs mentioned within for the full immersive experience.

So when I finish the book I will empty out the Mega account and post some more shows.

Probably not going to reach the level of intensity of the last year or so however which is why I am not spending / taking donations etc. Decided to pump the money into hard drive and better storage options for my physical media.

In the meantime I was been trying for a few years to get audio resynced to a Jessica Von Rabbit video and the same person filmed Mudhoney from against the stage but again, can use better audio options if anyone out there can help.

  20. A million thanks for all you've shared with us. Have you looked at Hightail? And I agree with Alex's comment above about crowdfunding to cover the cost of storage (and I'll bet folks like me would be open to helping upload or move stuff as well.

  22. Thanks for all you've posted! And thanks for anything you post in the future! (there's a Sylvia Juncosa for Feb 15th (2011) that I don't think has ever been posted.)

You mentioned syncing video... If your source video has any audio at all (however bad it is) then it's a lot easier to sync than if it's silent. Forget using fiddly video editors, the easiest way I found was to extract the audio and load it into an audio editor. Then you just build your new soundtrack alongside it, paying attention to the peaks (and the timestamps) so you can accurately line up the new audio alongside the old audio. If the alt. source is a digital recording it makes it easier rather than being on cassette with all the speed problems that can bring, but even with two digital recordings you might find one needs the speed adjusting a tiny tiny amount. If both video and new audio are both digital it should be an easy process, if one is analogue then there's no one-side-fits-all speed adjustment because tape is so unpredictable so you might have to build the new soundtrack one song at a time which is a ballache. And once done, re-add the soundtrack to the video.
