The Zombie Apocalypse Continues

The Zombie Apocalypse continues with 2 high profile incidents.
And this is what's so scary about life at the street level in Los Angeles right now. I have been taking the bus and walking the streets at all hours since about 1990. I can live with the possibilities of crime within the normal parameters like getting robbed or hit by a drunk driver but this is an entirely different kind of threat, one that is hard to prepare for. Though I am fully supportive of an individual right to carry, I can't do it on the bus to a show. You can't even do that in Texas.
I bet if the first incident happened within LA city limits, the cops likely would have just arrested the very protective father, tossing the kid into DCFS system until they can make a case. Hard to say as legitimate self-defense cases are so rare in LA.
It's taking so long to ID the deceased perpetrator, probably a bit too feral even by LA street life standards.

  3. Things are really getting out of hand. I stopped going to the shows a long time ago, or anywhere where the big crowds gather. Even though majority of people everywhere are decent and non-violent, it seems to me that violence is more pronounced everywhere you go. I don't even watch TV anymore, any channel you turn on (except some nature related ones) there is violence followed by more violence. It seems to me it is being promoted. I don't remember it being like this when I was younger. Listening to music is my only sanctuary.
