Free show to celebrate Mosrite Guitar 70th Anniversary and my first time out this year. A few other bands played but not sure when I will get to them. Did enjoy Venturesmania with Deke Dickerson. This was one I was excited about though not so much about the location even with the (lack of) ticket price.

Show day rolls around and still not feeling it on anything but felt duty bound to capture this. And it sure felt like a chore.

The show suffers from distorted vocals and sound with endless feedback squeals all night, would have rather just paid to see this in a real venue instead of line up hours early to ensure my spot in a little strip mall bar with an inadequate setup. At least they did a real good job of not letting the venue get overpacked which is what I was most concerned with.

The setlist was a basic selection that doesn't really have to be rehearsed so no songs off the CJ era albums or his later solo albums. Might have to see if I can find the Los Gusanos sets I have.

It was also today that we learned of the passing of longtime scenester and supporter of the local music scene "The Pope" Greg Romero. He had many friends in attendance and got a shout out from the stage from Dez Cadena during one of the other sets.

Last Call / Brief Intermission

I am completely out of storage options unless I wanna resurrect my FileFactory account, and that would just be rude, so I am going to have to start emptying out the Mega + Google accounts, at least until I can use WeTransfer again. So get it now because once they are gone, they are not coming back. But I don't have many new transfers, Jan is always a dead month for anniversaries and I wanna finish my book which often involves stopping and playing the songs mentioned within for the full immersive experience. So when I finish the book I will empty out the Mega account and post some more shows. Probably not going to reach the level of intensity of the last year or so however which is why I am not spending / taking donations etc. Decided to pump the money into hard drive and better storage options for my physical media.  In the meantime I was been trying for a few years to get audio resynced to a Jessica Von Rabbit video and the same person filmed Mudhoney from against the stage but
