Mixed by Erik Denning in Audition CC with help of Izotope RX6 to clean up chatty people around taper.
Notes : I don't tape much anymore, retired, but still like to put puzzles together. In this case we had the Sennheiser Feed but the audience wasn't great, had some jack issues and recorded way off to side (because that's where you gotta be to catch the IEM feed cross stage). So Fried Morals approved of us mixing in his aud which was recorded dead center with nice stereo separation. Used RX to eliminate some of the talking and declared the audience a bit as well in Audition along with mixing it
Think final mix is pretty nice, enjoy it, many of the new songs
I was watching on the Facebook page as people were complaining about being stuck in line for hours as the bands they bought tickets to see were playing inside. Whew, glad I decided to skip this one and just opt for whatever was going at MacArthur Park. When I was getting ready to leave for that event I looked up to see just who I was seeing there again and it was a DJ! Um ... what now. Why don't I just cruise by the Rose Bowl and see for myself what's going on.
It was pretty dead outside with people still trickling in and buying tickets out of the box office for $200. There were a handful of bargain hunters looking for $100 tickets but I wasn't there long before I got one for $40.
The Pixies set was found later and not sure I ever listened. Loved the first reunion tour or so but I felt it ran it's course even before Kim bailed and I just couldn't get into any subsequent gigs even the brief period the late great Kim Shattuck with in the band.
Anyway catch half a Throwing Muses set in tent than kinda stagger around in the dark before setting in front of sound tower right before The Cure could take the stage with really only being able to see the left screen but i was very happy with how it all played out.
